Custom software solutions
Got an idea? Let’s make it real.
Golden Diary builds custom business software — ERP systems, web applications, mobile apps and analytics — from the first conversation through to deployment and support. Software designed around your workflow, your requirements and your goals, rather than the other way around.
What we build
Six things, done properly, rather than a list of everything the industry has a word for. Most projects combine two or three of them.
Custom ERP
Software shaped to how you already work
Off-the-shelf ERP asks you to change your process to match its screens. We start from the process you actually run — the registers, the approvals, the exceptions everyone knows about but nobody wrote down — and build around it. Inventory, orders, billing, karigar issue-and-receipt, and reporting in one system with real user roles.
- Inventory, orders, purchase and billing
- Role-based access for owners, staff and accountants
- GST-ready invoices and exports for your CA
- Data migration from existing registers or spreadsheets
Web applications
Dashboards, portals and internal tools
The web surface most businesses actually need is not a brochure site — it is the tool the team logs into every morning. We build admin consoles, customer portals, order-tracking dashboards and internal tools that stay fast when the table has a hundred thousand rows in it.
- Admin consoles with audit trails and permissions
- Customer and partner portals
- Marketing sites that load fast and rank
- Search, filters and exports that work at real data volumes
Mobile apps
One codebase, both stores
Android and iOS from a single Flutter codebase, so a feature ships to both platforms at once instead of twice. We handle the parts that are tedious rather than difficult: phone OTP sign-in, push notifications, offline behaviour, in-app purchases, and the store review process itself.
- Flutter apps for Android and iOS
- Phone OTP login, push notifications, deep links
- In-app purchases and subscription billing
- Play Store and App Store submission, handled end to end
Business analytics
The numbers, without the export-to-Excel ritual
Most businesses already hold the data they need and cannot see it. We connect the systems you run, model the numbers that actually drive decisions, and put them on a dashboard your team reads instead of a report nobody opens.
- Live dashboards for sales, stock and collections
- Scheduled reports by email or WhatsApp
- Consolidated reporting across branches
- Alerts when a number crosses a threshold you set
Cloud and integrations
Making the systems you already pay for talk
New software rarely arrives on an empty desk. We integrate with the accounting package, payment gateway, SMS provider and marketplace you already use, and put the whole thing on infrastructure that can be handed to someone else without a rewrite.
- Payment gateway and settlement integration
- WhatsApp, SMS and email delivery
- Third-party and legacy API integration
- Cloud hosting, backups and monitoring
Workflow automation
Remove the steps a person should not be doing
Every business runs on a few tasks that are pure retyping — copying an order into a sheet, chasing an approval, sending the same reminder every Monday. Those are the cheapest things to automate and the ones that pay back fastest, so they are usually where we start.
- Approval flows with a real audit trail
- Automatic reminders and follow-ups
- Document and invoice generation
- Scheduled jobs, syncs and reconciliation
How a project runs
From idea to deployment. You know the cost and the scope before the build starts, and you can log in and use the software long before it is finished.
Understand the work
A call, then usually a visit. We watch the process as it runs today and write down what the software has to survive — the busy hour, the exception nobody documented, the report the accountant needs on the 7th.
Scope and quote
You get a written scope: what is being built, what is explicitly not, what it costs and how long it takes. Fixed price where the scope is clear, phased where it is not. No line item appears later that was not in that document.
Build in the open
Work ships in fortnightly increments you can log into and use. Feedback goes into the next increment instead of a change-request queue, which is what stops a project arriving six months later as the wrong thing.
Deploy and support
We migrate the data, train the people who will use it, and stay on for the first months while the edge cases surface. You own the code and the accounts at the end of it — not a licence to keep paying us for.
Why work with us
We built and run Golden Diary
Not a case study from a deck: this site, the admin console behind it, and the Golden Diary apps on both stores are our own work, in production, with real businesses on them every day.
We know one industry properly
Gold and jewellery — bullion, manufacturing, wholesale, retail. If your business is in that trade, you will not spend the first month explaining what a karigar issue slip is.
Security is not a later phase
Role-based access, audit logging, encrypted storage and rate limiting are how we build by default, because the platform we run holds GST registrations and payment data.
You own what we build
Source code, cloud accounts, domains and data are yours from day one. There is no lock-in and no clause that makes leaving expensive.
The clearest example of what we do is the platform this page sits on. Read about Golden Diary to see what it took to build and run.
Tell us about your project
The first conversation is free and carries no obligation. Tell us what you are trying to build and we will come back within one working day with an honest view of what it would take.
Frequently asked questions
- What kind of software does Golden Diary build?
- Golden Diary builds custom business software: ERP systems, web applications and internal dashboards, Android and iOS apps, analytics and reporting, cloud integrations, and workflow automation. The team is based in Hyderabad and works with businesses across India.
- Do you only work with gold and jewellery businesses?
- No. The Golden Diary platform serves the gold and jewellery trade, and that is the industry we know best, but the software practice takes projects from any industry. Manufacturing, distribution and retail businesses are the most common fit.
- How much does a custom software project cost?
- It depends on scope. A focused internal tool or automation typically starts around ₹1 lakh; a full ERP or a mobile app with payments runs materially higher. You get a written scope and a fixed quote before any work begins, so the number is agreed up front rather than discovered later.
- How long does a project take?
- A small tool takes three to six weeks. A first usable version of an ERP or a mobile app is typically eight to sixteen weeks, shipped in fortnightly increments you can log into and use along the way, rather than in one delivery at the end.
- Who owns the source code?
- You do. Source code, cloud accounts, domains and data belong to your business from day one. There is no licence fee to keep using what we built and nothing that makes moving to another team expensive.
- Can you work with the software we already have?
- Usually, yes. Most projects involve an existing accounting package, payment gateway, marketplace or legacy database that has to keep working. Integrating with what you already run is normal, and replacing it wholesale is the exception rather than the default.
- Is the first consultation free?
- Yes. The first call — understanding what you are trying to build, what you already have running, and what it would take — is free and carries no obligation. Charging begins only once a written scope is agreed.
